Behind the dinosaur.
FSDino started with a simple problem.
I own an older HW3 Tesla, I'm fascinated by FSD, and upgrading to a newer car is painfully expensive.
Instead of quietly accepting that, I turned it into a stupid internet experiment.
The idea is simple. The execution is a dinosaur.
The idea is simple: build an anonymous dinosaur-powered project, see how far the internet can take it, and hopefully upgrade to an FSD-capable Tesla along the way.
If it actually happens, the payoff is a multi-day road trip around Czechia using FSD Supervised, following the border regions and looping back to the start.
The driving portions will be livestreamed and the whole adventure recorded for a proper video.
Why I love my Tesla
The dinosaur is a joke.
The gratitude is real.
There is a genuine reason behind my attachment to the car.
During a motorway journey, a multi-car accident began unfolding in front of me.
My Model 3 reacted rapidly and I managed to avoid becoming part of the pile-up.
I can never know exactly what would have happened otherwise, and no driver-assistance system is foolproof.
But I drove away safely, and I never forgot that moment.
Before then, I liked the car.
Afterwards, it meant something more to me.
This is one reason FSDino exists.
The dinosaur is absurd.
The appreciation behind it isn't.
Why anonymous
Why the dinosaur?
I'm keeping the person behind FSDino anonymous because the project is more fun that way.
This isn't supposed to be about who I am.
It's about seeing whether the internet can turn one ridiculous idea into something real.
Also: dinosaurs are objectively better branding.
Some ground rules, so nobody gets confused.
This is
- A self-aware internet experiment.
- Community help toward part of an upgrade. I sell my current car and cover the rest.
- A multi-day road trip around Czechia, livestreamed while driving and turned into a video, if the goal is reached.
- An independent fan project.
This isn't
- A charity or an emergency. Nobody needs this.
- A promise of autonomous driving. FSD Supervised means a human supervises at all times.
- Affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Tesla, Inc.
- A request for a free car.
